Bengaluru Man Makes Alto 800 Drive Itself with Old Redmi Phone

Bengaluru-Man-Makes-Alto-800-Drive-Itself-the-bharat-buzz

Bengaluru Man Makes Alto 800 Drive Itself: Mankaran Singh, the founder of FlowDrive.ai, achieved an impressive milestone by transforming a Maruti Alto K10 into an autonomous vehicle using a second-hand Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone. This groundbreaking approach challenges the notion that self-driving technology is exclusive to high-end cars requiring substantial investments. A viral video on social media captured the Alto 800 navigating a busy highway, steering itself without human touch. Mankaran Singh’s ingenuity has brought self-driving capabilities to the humble Alto, marking a noteworthy accomplishment in automotive technology.

Flowpilot: Your Car’s Smart Sidekick for Easy Driving

Flowpilot, created by Mankaran Singh, is a version of Comma.ai’s OpenPilot. It works with Windows/Linux and Android devices. Singh used Comma.ai’s learning models, saving the time and money usually needed to train independent driving systems.

Inspiration from Comma.ai to make alto 800 drive itself and Flowpilot’s Features.

Mankaran Singh, inspired by George Hotz of Comma.ai, created Flowpilot to make cars smart. It works like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Driver Monitoring for many car models. Singh, a programmer from Bengaluru, is not only passionate about this project but also contributes to Flow Drive and works with Ola.

How Flowpilot Works? Your Phone Matters

For good performance, Flowpilot works well with a decent phone—no need for the latest and greatest. It supports 200+ car models, but in India, you might need a bit of creativity to make it work with some cars. Still, many in India love Flowpilot because it works better than the regular car systems you get out of the box.

Distinguishing Features and Focus on Highway Automation

This homegrown innovation stands out by providing a simple and effective solution for autonomous highway driving. Unlike the complex neural networks and extensive camera setups employed by some other systems, Flowpilot focuses on efficiency with a minimal camera setup and additional sensors. This achievement aligns with the growing trend of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making highway automation accessible and practical. Singh’s ingenuity has not only propelled the Alto 800 into the realm of self-driving but also showcases the potential for innovative solutions in the world of autonomous vehicles.

Safety Features and Limitations of Flowpilot

Flowpilot prioritizes safety features like automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, showcasing its ability to outperform human processing rates. However, limitations arise on Indian roads due to factors such as low-light conditions, shadows, and unpredictable obstacles.

Future of Autonomous Driving and Deployment

As technology gets better, we might see self-driving cars in places like college campuses and tech parks soon. But for now, systems like Flowpilot, which acts like a kind of autopilot for cars, will probably be used more on big groups of vehicles that drive outside busy city areas. So, while we wait for self-driving cars everywhere, Flowpilot and similar systems could be taking care of things outside the city limits.

Keep driving into the future with Flowpilot! Explore more on autonomous innovation at TheBharatBuzz. Keep reading, keep exploring!

Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules: Everything You Need to Know

Gujarat-Govt's-GIFT-City-Liquor-Rules-the-bharat-buzz
Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules

At the core of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) are special rules made by the Gujarat Government for liquor – let’s call them the ‘Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules.’ These rules bring special benefits for employees, letting them get a special permit to have alcohol. Recent notices explain that eligible employees can get this permit from a specific area for two years. Gujarat, known for Mahatma Gandhi and colorful textiles, is also the place where GIFT City, a global finance experiment, is happening. Like big financial cities worldwide, GIFT City is a busy place for global businesses and professionals. To make it more global, the Gujarat government made special rules for GIFT City about liquor, making people curious. Whether you’re thinking of moving there or just interested in how things work, knowing the ‘Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules’ is really important. This guide breaks down the important stuff, explaining licenses, permits, age limits, and more.

Who Can Raise a Glass in GIFT City?

On Saturdays, visitors to GIFT City have an opportunity to obtain a one-day permit, with the condition that they must be accompanied by an employee holding a liquor access permit, in accordance with the ‘Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules.’ This exclusive privilege is not universally applicable in GIFT City. Instead, it is reserved for employees and visitors who meet specific criteria. Employees can secure a Liquor Access Permit (LAP), which is valid for two years, renewable, and incurs an annual cost of Rs. 1,000. The LAP is accessible to anyone above 21 years of age working in a registered company within GIFT City. Visitors, whether on a business trip or visiting someone in GIFT City, can also savor a drink by obtaining a Temporary Permit, valid for a single day. These permits are issued by the HR head or PRO of the hosting company. Like the LAP, the minimum age requirement for a Temporary Permit is 21.

Where Can You Find the Drinks?

You can’t wander around with a drink in GIFT City! Drinks are only allowed in certain places called “Wine and Dine” areas, like licensed restaurants and clubs. These spots follow rules to keep things in control and responsible. The rules have been updated to support a “global business ecosystem” in GIFT City. That means existing and new hotels, restaurants, and clubs will be allowed to have these wine-and-dine places.

Drinks in GIFT City: How to Get Permits and Licenses

Getting a drink in GIFT City follows a process. If you work there, your recommending officer lists employees who want a liquor access permit. The authorized officer then gives permit cards to those on the list.

For the permit, you need to be 21 or older. It’s first given for two years, and you can renew it twice. The cost is Rs 1,000 per year. If you stop working in GIFT City, your permit stops too.

Units in GIFT City wanting a liquor license apply to the Superintendent of Prohibition and Excise in Gandhinagar. The GIFT facilitation committee decides, and if approved, the license is issued. It allows serving liquor only in the approved wine and dine area. The license can be issued for one to five years, renewable for Rs 1 lakh per year, with a Rs 2 lakh deposit.

Restaurants and clubs needing a “Wine and Dine” license pay Rs. 1 lakh yearly with a Rs. 2 lakh deposit. It’s renewable for up to five years. If you run a place in GIFT City and cater to a global crowd, having the ‘Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules’ in mind is crucial.

Gujarat Govt’s GIFT City Liquor Rules: Key Points to Remember
  • Carrying your LAP or Temporary Permit is mandatory while consuming alcohol in the designated areas. Remember, it’s your passport to a legal sip!
  • Public drinking, consumption outside designated zones, and drunken behavior are strictly prohibited. Let’s ensure a responsible and enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • The Gujarat Prohibition Act still applies in GIFT City, though specific provisions are relaxed for permit holders. Knowledge is power, so staying updated on the regulations is crucial.
  • These regulations are subject to change, so keeping yourself informed is key to avoiding any unpleasant surprises.

Remember, responsible and informed consumption is key to enjoying the relaxed regulations within GIFT City’s international hub. So, raise a glass (within the designated area, of course!), and toast to the vibrant future of this pioneering business district! Keep reading TheBharatBuzz for more updates and insights.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi happily agreed to attend the opening of Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple on February 14 next year. Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas, along with the temple’s board of directors, invited him, and he graciously accepted during a meeting at his residential office

Swami Ishwarcharandas, a leader from the temple, honored the Prime Minister with a garland and a saffron shawl. They praised PM Modi for his important work in renovating and developing pilgrimage sites across India, calling it remarkable.

The event is significant as it marks the inauguration of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the intersection of spirituality and leadership. The collaboration between spiritual leaders and political figures emphasizes the shared commitment to cultural heritage and unity.

During the meeting, the discussions revolved around Abu Dhabi temple’s significance for global harmony and Modi’s vision for India’s spiritual leadership on the global stage.

A Masterpiece in Architecture

Imagine a masterpiece, the BAPS (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, inspired by stunning Hindu temples. Built with over 40,000 cubic meters of pink sandstone from India, it showcases intricate carvings, nine golden spires representing different parts of India, and lush gardens like sacred Hindu places.

Inside this special place, Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple, there are shrines for gods like Swaminarayan, Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, and Hanuman. A big prayer hall welcomes many devotees, and there are spots for learning about our culture and having conversations.

Abu Dhabi’s First Hindu Temple: A Symbol of Unity and Cultural Integration

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi is more than just a place of worship. It’s going to be like a special center for Indians living there. People think it will become a big part of our community, where we can celebrate our culture, learn new things, and help each other. The temple will not only connect us spiritually but also make us feel like we truly belong in Abu Dhabi. In a happy conversation, the Prime Minister talked with Chirag Patel about tennis and encouraged Patel’s children in their sports. Swami Brahmaviharidas gave an update on Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple, saying the opening ceremony will be a big celebration for everyone.

The Prime Minister shared a thoughtful idea, saying the temple represents a place where different cultures and beliefs come together. He believes it’s a symbol of harmony and a way for everyone to move forward together. The inauguration of Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple is a significant milestone that signifies unity and cultural integration in the region.

PM Modi Thanks BAPS Team for Abu Dhabi’s First Hindu Temple Efforts

The BAPS delegation prayed for the Prime Minister’s health and acknowledged his exceptional global achievements, notably strengthening relationships with the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries. They also discussed the pride and inspiration Modi’s leadership has instilled in Indians worldwide.” Recalling his personal and immortal memories of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and his glorious centenary celebrations, the Prime Minister expressed prayers for Mahant Swami Maharaj’s health. PM also appreciated the efforts of key individuals, volunteers, and supporters, involved in the BAPS Hindu Mandir project in Abu Dhabi, including those present before him such as Chairman Ashok Kotecha, Vice Chairman Yogesh Mehta, and Director Chirag Patel, recognizing their contributions as significant sources of pride for India.

As the world witnesses the opening of Abu Dhabi’s inaugural Hindu temple, it marks more than just a local milestone. With Prime Minister Modi’s presence, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir becomes a shining symbol of hope, harmony, and shared humanity, weaving a new narrative of interfaith dialogue and cultural understanding in the heart of the Middle East.
